All commercial property that is sold or let must have a Non-Domestic Energy Performance Certificate, commonly known as a Non Domestic EPC, commissioned prior to or within 7 days of being put on the market. There is a further 21 days allowed for the completion and acquisition of the EPC after which time fines can be imposed.

Since the 1st October 2008, all non-domestic buildings, on construction, sale or rental require a Non-Domestic Energy Performance Certificate (NDEPC) and a Recommendation Report (RR). Commercial EPC Prices. There are lots of factors which can affect the cost of your epc.
Are You Using A Local EPC Provider ? If the surveyor has to travel a long way to the property then it is likely the price you pay will be higher than it will be if you use our Local Commercial EPC Service.
Are you using a panel ? A panel is a service which advertises commercial energy performance certificates but does not actually provide the EPC themselves.
They are usually a booking service which adds a middle man fee to the price you pay to cover their costs.

I will visit the property at a time that is convenient to you, normally within 72 hours and carry out a full commercial EPC survey.
I will assess the property and produce the certificate, normally, within 48 hours of this survey. I will then send a draft certificate by email to yourself, your agent or solicitor for your consideration before formally lodging the report on the Government register.

You can be fined between £500 and £5,000 based on the rateable value of the building if you don’t make an EPC available to any prospective buyer or tenant.
