I will arrange to visit your property at a time that is convenient to you, normally within 48 hours and carry out the EPC survey, which on an average domestic property will take around 40 minutes. I will assess your property and produce the certificate within 48 hours of the epc survey. I will send the certificate by email to yourself, your agent or solicitor. The EPC is valid for 10 years from the date of issue.
EPC Prices. There are lots of factors which can affect the cost of your epc.
Are You Using A Local EPC Provider ? If the surveyor has to travel a long way to the property then it is likely the price you pay will be higher than it will be if you use our Local EPC Service.
Are you using a panel ? A panel is a service which advertises energy performance certificates but does not actually provide the EPC themselves. They are usually a booking service which adds a middle man fee to the price you pay to cover their costs. Sometimes the price advertised will appear competitive but what you do not know is how much of this is retained by the epc booking company and how little of the fee is paid to the assessor. We have seen assessors paid as little as £20 for producing epcs. Clearly this can impact on the quality of the service you receive.

Landlord Notice: From 1st April 2018 private rental propeties must achieve an energy efficiency rating of at least an E on their Energy Performance Certificate (EPC). The regulations will initially only apply upon the granting of a new tenancy to a new or existing tenant. From 1st April 2020 ALL private rental properties must achieve an energy efficiency rating of E or above.
